On the 18th of March, representatives from Explorer units in the district met for the first Newcastle District Youth meeting. This was a positive step for the District for Scouting to be shaped more by the young people in partnership with adult volunteers, as stated in the Scout Association’s Vision 2018. The young people present suggested several exciting ideas, one of which being a District Explorer Camp for March 2016!
