74th Silverdale Group is one of 19 community groups that are being invited to apply for a £1,000 windfall after The Sentinel teamed up with mobile phone giant Vodafone.
The Community Connection Award will see the winning organisation, which must be based in the Newcastle area, land a cash prize along with a free tech assessment.
The money must be spent on an individual project, and the Group is hoping, if they win, to use the money to buy camping equipment.
Please support them by printing out the Sentinel form, fillling it in and sending it to the Sentinel by 12 noon on the 27th February.
