May’s District Cub Camp took place on the Beech Field and in the Fox Glen at Kibblestone Scout Camp with 5 packs attending.
The theme for for the weekend was Camelot, or in our case “Cubalot”. The Cubs made Dragons and then raced these on the Saturday evening before having a big campfire which was great fun. The Cubs made Hats, Tabards, Swords and did Archery. A Cubalot Fair was held where Cubs, Leaders and Explorers were in stocks and got very wet with the sponge throwing, and there was also apple bobbing, a coconut shy, blow darts & a treasure hunt.
Leaders and Cubs had a fantastic time, we had great weather and a big thanks goes to our Young Leaders & Explorers for their help during the weekend and also members of the SASU.
