As you may be aware, Steve Broadhurst will be stepping down from the role of District Commissioner of Newcastle later in 2014. My thanks go to Steve for all his service and hard work during his time as District Commissioner.
After the search process and interviews, I am pleased to announce that the new District Commissioner in Newcastle will be Vera Bloor who will formally take over the role on in June 2014. In the meantime Vera will work alongside Steve within the district and be fully involved in all the decision making and processes that happen. I am sure you will join me in congratulating her and will give her your support in taking the District forward.
