As part of the service, the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from 1st Porthill’s sang ‘Little Drummer Boy’ and were accompanied by members of the Group’s Drum Corps.

Fr. Andrew Knight, talked about the animals in the Christmas story and had various parts of the church making the noises of donkeys, cows, sheep and doves!

At the end of the service, the District Commissioner presented a 25 years Long Service Award to Porthill’s Scout Leader, Paul.

After the service mince pies were served!

Thanks to the members of the Scout Active Support Unit for organising the evening and providing the refreshments.
