Scout District 5-a-side competition – Saturday 7th January 2012.
This years competition was held at Keele University Sports Hall. Eight teams from across the District took part.
The final was a keenly fought contest between 74th Silverdale Scouts and 65th Madeley Scouts.
The eventual winners were 74th Silverdale, who won by two goals to nil.
Congratulations to Silverdale and commiserations to Madeley who played a very good game too.
Coming in third place were 1st Porthill – Team 1 who beat Holy Trinity/Knutton in the third place play off final.
Thanks also to all the other troops who turned up and played – you were a credit to your Troops, Leaders and the District – your behaviour and the sporting way in which you all played was brilliant to see.
Finally, thanks to Paul and Nick Durham for being excellent referees and also to Keele University for the excellent facilities.
