The District PL & APL camp ran between Fri 23 – Sun 25 Sept 2011 at Sherrats Wood Campsite.
Bases were: CAMP GADGETS, WOOD SELECTION & FIRE LIGHTING SKILLS, MAKE YOUR OWN FLINT & STEEL, PREPARING & COOKING FISH and WOOD CHOPPING/AXE/BOW SAW SKILLS.
We cooked on open fires (lunch and tea). Tea was a cooking competition where all cooked the same meal for the District Commissioner to Judge. (He survived too!)….
Congratulations to 74th Silverdale Scouts who won the District Cooking competition.
We were invited to Stafford District Cubs campfire and then presented our own sketches to the other Scouts. We then played some wide games and then went to bed exhausted!
On Sunday morning we had our own Scout’s Own.
