Following on from last year’s Food Festival in Newcastle, members of the District will be again attending the Food Festival this year.
On Saturday 16th September 2017, our Scouts will be serving teas, coffees and refreshments, having a chocolate tombola, a cake stall and a climbing wall. All this is being done to raise money for three international trips that will be taking place in 2018.
79th Clayton’s Scouts are planning a trip to Norway, Centurion Explorers are going to Canada and the Scouts from 19th Red Street and 25th Knutton are going to Gibraltar. Please come along and support them!
The following day, on Sunday 17th September, the very talented young people of 1st Porthill’s Drum Corps will lead a parade around the town at midday, before performing for the Bishop of Stafford at St Giles and then leading the parade through the town again. We hope you will come along and watch them play.
